Power Board Union to serve notice on NJPC
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
SHIMLA, May 27: State Power Board Employees Union has decided to serve a 30-day notice to the management of Nathpa Jhakri Power Corporation to shed its discriminatory attitude towards the seconded employees of the HPSEB.General secretary Chander Singh Mandyal today said it was a known fact that since 1991 the NJPC had not invited even once the employees for talks, neither any of their problem had been solved. They were subjected to harassment on the contrary, Mandyal said. It was due to this fact that the number of seconded employees had been reduced to 1640 which was earlier at 2870. Mandyal said the NJPC sanctioned Rs 5000 from top to bottom to all its employees in lieu of liveries, but seconded employees were deprived of this facility. He warned 40 thousand employees of the state board would support the seconded employees in their struggle against the NJPC. Himachal Draughtsmen Association and Himachal Diploma Engineers Association have also criticised the NJPC for its discriminatory attitude towards seconded employees.
