PUNE, June 1: Three would be no supply of drinking water to the downtown, Mukundnagar, Dattawadi and Shivajinagar areas on Wednesday evening owing to emergency electrical repairs scheduled to be undertaken at the Parvati water works.The affected areas would include Somwar Peth, Mangalwar Peth, Budhwar Peth, Guruwar Peth, Shukrawar Peth, Shaniwar Peth, Raviwar Peth, Rasta Peth, Nana Peth, Dattawadi, Rajendranagar, Sinhagad Road, Shivajinagar, Jangli Maharaj Road, Apte Road, Shivajinagar Gaothan, Shankarsheth Road, Ekbote Colony, Khadakmal Aali, Tilak Road, Swargate Police Lines, Ghorpade Peth and Mukundnagar.
The supply would be resumed on Thursday morning but was likely to be low pressured and inadequate, according to an official press note issued by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) water supply department.
