SURAT, June 3: The Secondary Education Board of the district has rejected proposals of different school managements to set up as many as 27 schools from the next academic year in different areas of the district. The Board has also warned those school managements, who have been refused permission, not to go ahead with admissions and begin construction of schools. The Board received 79 applications to start primary schools in the district, 40 applications for setting up kindergartens and nurseries and 27 applications for secondary schools. A decision involving kindergarten and primary schools is yet to be taken. Among proposals to start secondary schools, 25 were proposed to be set up in the city while the other two were proposed for Niozar and Kadodara in the district, Secretary of the secondary board N K Patel told Express Newsline here on Tuesday.
