Brawls
Three people were injured and were admitted to the hospital in separate cases of brawls registered in the city police stations on Wednesday. One Dharmabhai Nanor, residing at Jalaramnagar slum near Rander, told the police that he was assaulted with an axe by one Ashokbhai Marathe, also residing in the same slum, after an argument. In another case registered at the same police station, Umashankar Sahney of the Minanagar slum told the police that five unidentified youths beat him up on Tuesday night near the Swaminarayan Mandir in the area and stabbed him before escaping. The complainant told the police that the attack was in retaliation to an argument which he had with one Ramesh last week. In a third case registered at the Katargam police station, an autorickshaw driver was beaten up by two youths when his vehicle hit their motorcycle near Sayan Road. The police have registered cases and are investigating.

Theft
A music system, battery, cassettes and other goods kept inside a car were stolen from a Maruti van parked at Khand Kuva Main road in Begumpura on Tuesday night, the police said. Sanjay Gandhi, the owner of the car, has lodged a case and the police is investigating.
