But soon after resumption Golden Stars struck the match-winner through A.Baba in the 50th minute. In another group B match, Victory Club beat Garhwal Diamond by a solitary goal scored by Imdad in the 19th minute.

In a group A encounter at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Jat Heroes defeated Young Boys 3-0. All the goals were scored in the first half. Mano (4th and 1oth) and Sudhir (25th) found the net. In the last match of group A, Delhi Cantonment were held to a goalless draw by a spirited Ashoka Club.
