Injury Watch
SCOTLAND: Defender Colin Calderwood broke two bones in his hand in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Norway and will almost certainly miss the rest of the World Cup. Calderwood has been flown to London where he might have an operation to pin together broken bones in his hand. "Colin Calderwood sustained injury to his right hand, having fallen awkwardly. He's broken two bones in his hand and one of them is displaced," Scotland team doctor Stewart Hillis said.BELGIUM: Captain Franky van Der Elst gave Belgium a scare with a groin problem. Midfielder Marc Wilmots said he had still not recovered from a thigh injury ahead of Saturday's match with Mexico. Coach Georges Leekens said: "The injury to van Der Elst worries me a bit...He clearly feels something more (than just something minor), but knowing franky, he will not tell you because he doesn't want to destabilise the group."Van der elst, who had trained with the squad for an hour, said he felt "a contraction" during a sprint.
