VMC issues 173 more notices

VADODARA, June 18: Even as some shopkeepers in Ajwa and Waghodia Road reportedly started demolishing parts of shops in the margin area, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation on Thursday issued 173 more notices to commercial complexes and business establishments that have violated building norms.According to VMC sources, voluntary demolition was taking place on R C Dutt Road and Sayajigunj as well. Meanwhile, the VMC razed several compound walls and huts that were choking Kishanwadi drainage lines in a five-hour operation. During the last five days, the civic body had issued notices to 425 commercial complexes, business establishments and hotels in different parts of the city.
