While the police have not made any arrests as yet, interrogations of the accused has been initiated.

THE complainant, a resident of Palanpur Patia area in the city, complained to the Rander police on Tuesday afternoon that her husband, his brother and wife, his parents and two other family members beat her up regularly and threatened to kill her between September 1994 and June 1998.

According to the complainant, she was married in 1994 and her family had given Rs 1.10 lakh in cash, gold and silver ornaments, a motorcycle, a double bed, a colour television, a refrigerator, a wrist watch and other valuables as dowry.
