GANDHINAGAR, June 25: At last, the State Government came out with the first list of appointments to statutory boards and corporations on Thursday with more largesse to Sangh Parivar loyalists. The list includes former ministers I K Jadeja and Purshottam Rupala.Chief minister Keshubhai Patel, in this list of 24 chiefs, accommodated 13 MLAs and 11 organisation leaders in a bid to strike a balance between the two wings.
The MLAs and their corporations are: Gordhanbhai Mali (Deesa) Gujarat Irrigation Water Resources Development Corporation, Ranjitsinh Chavda (Himatnagar) Gujarat State Handloom Development Corporation. Naranbhai Patel (Unja) Gujarat State Seeds Corporation, Jashwantsinh Bhabhor (Limkheda) Gujarat State Tribal Development Corporation, Bipin Shah (Bharuch) Gujarat Warehousing Corporation, Dolat Desai (Valsad) Gujarat State Export Corporation, Karshanbhai Patel (Gandevi) Gujarat Tractor Corporation, I.K.Jedeja (Dhrangadhra) Gujarat State Financial Corporation, Purshottam Rupala (Amreli) Gujarat State Industrial Development Corporation, Becharbhai Bhadani (Lathi) Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation, Parmanand Khattar (Jamnagar) Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation, Devanand Solanki (Mendarda) member (director) Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation, and Chhatrasinh Mori (Jambusar) Guajrat State Landless Labourers and Halpati Board.
The 11 organisation leaders and their boards are: Suryakant Acharya-Planning Board (vice-chairman), Jayanti Barot-Gujarat State Khadi Gramodyo Board, Babubhai Jamnadas Patel-Gujarat Dairy Development Board, Pradipsinh Jadeja-Gujarat NarXadavalley Fertiliser Company, Jitendra Sukhadia-Gujarat Slum Clearance Board, Gani Qureshi-Gujarat Minorities Board, Fakirbhai Chauhan-Municipal Finance Board, C R Patil-Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals, Madhabhai Boricha-Gujarat State Scheduled Caste Economic Development Corporation, Manjulaben Manubhai Patel-Gujarat State Women's Economic Development Corporation, and Harubhai Jivandas Gondalia-Gujarat State Backward Class Development Corporation.
Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation and Gujarat Electricity Board, among others, will get the heads later.
