Court orders inquiry into killing of pigs

PUNE, June 26: First Class Judicial Magistrate D S Marathe has ordered a police inspector of Swargate police station to conduct an enquiry against Pune Municipal Corporation employees for allegedly catching and killing pigs.The court has ordered that the Swargate PI should submit a report before July 8. A complaint was lodged by Ranvirsingh Ishwarsingh Dudhani alleging that on June 13 PMC employees entered premises of the Agriculture Produce Market Committee unauthorisedly, caught 250 pigs, killed some and took them to an unknown destination.
