NEW DELHI, June 28: The North district police have arrested the owner of a bakery shop on charge of burgling the jewelery shop next door.Ravinder Varma, a jewelery shop owner of Nathupura village, had reported that his shop was burgled on June 25 and 20 kg of silver and 150 gm of gold ornaments had been stolen. The police arrested one Kishan, and following his interrogation recovered 16 kg of silver and 150 gm of gold ornaments from the house of Parveen Aggarwal, who owns a bakery shop next to Varma's shop.
According to the police, Parveen, Kishan and Khanna broke opened the locks of the shutter and burgled the shop. Parveen kept the stolen goods in his house and advised Khanna and Kishan to flee the village, they added. Parveen and Khanna are absconding. Khanna and Kishan are casual labourers who are unemployed and were looking for money. Parveen was also running up losses and was also in need of money to repay a loan.
