PATNA, June 29: Senior Janata Dal leader Ram Vilas Paswan today said there should be ``no haste'' in pulling down the Bharatiya Janata Party Government at the Centre whose fall, he claimed, was ``imminent.''``There should not be any political harakiri to topple the Atal Behari Vajpayee Government...,'' Paswan told reporters. ``Any hasty step may turn the situation in its favour.''
``Let the goverment die on its own due to its internal contradictions and intra-alliance squabbles,'' he said adding that the government was ``not going to last long.''
Terming Vajpayee as the ``weakest-ever'' prime minister, he said the ``infant'' BJP government was ``a failure'' on all fronts.
Lashing at the BJP government, the former railway minister said leaders of the party (BJP) speak in different voices and their allies sing in different tunes casting ``doubts over the continuance of the government.''
Coming down heavily on the prime minister, Vajpayee, for ``befooling and cheating'' the people of Bihar by ``notfulfilling'' his pre-election promises that BJP would dismiss the ``corrupt'' RJD government in Bihar within the 72 hours of BJP's coming to power, Paswan said he (Vajpayee) had now been exposed.
Staing that Bihar was a fit case for imposing Central rule, he said the JD would not oppose if the Centre invokes Article 356 in the state.
Paswan also said that the JD would not be part of the Rashtriya Lok Tantrik Morcha, formed by Samajwadi Party and Rashtriya Janata Dal.
