Eight prisoners in Thailand had special reason to celebrate Croatia's win over Germany in the quarter-finals. Guards at the police station where they were being held were so glued to the soccer on television that they failed to check a closed-circuit screen monitoring the cells. Hadthey looked, they would have seen a mass breakout.
