Israeli night eyes for India's Mi-35 copters
India's Mi-35 attack helicopters are all set to acquire night-fighting capability. The helicopters will now be equipped with infra red sensors, laser range-finders and thermal imagers to identify targets in the dark. Their cockpit lighting will be changed to incorporate night vision goggles and helmet-mounted displays.

TN, Kerala to talk on Periyar
The Tamil Nadu and Kerala governments are likely to hold bilateral talks at Thiruvananthapuram in the third week of July to find a solution to the dispute on sharing of river water. The meeting is expected to touch on various other issues affecting the two States, including review of the Parambikulam-Aliyar project, diversion of West flowing rivers, Pamba-Achankoil-Vaippar link project and Pandiyar-Punnampuzha project.

Right contacts only qualification for govt jobs in J&K
Nouman Thakur, an engineering graduate was directly inducted as a deputy superintendent in Jammu and Kashmir Police, while his batchmates were still struggling to find the prized government jobs. Nouman's only qualification -- he is the son of a retired bureaucrat and now a member of the State Public Service Commission.
