In the first incident, 59-year-old Murari Sakapure jumped from the second floor of the Mahatma Gandhi hospital at Parel at around 11.30 pm on Tuesday. He had been admitted there since June 26 for treatment for asthma.

Sakapure's son Prabhakar said his father was brought from Latur for treatment, but failed to respond. On Tuesday, he told another patient that he was going to the toilet.
