Swami 's operation successful
The spiritual leader of the Bochasanwaal Shri Akshar Purshottam Swaminarayan Sanstha, Pramukh Swami Mahraj, successfully underwent a bypass surgery at the Lenox Hill Hospital, New York. The operation was performed by Dr Subramaniyam and his team of surgeons. The Swaminarayan Sanstha has expressed gratitude to the well-wishers and devotees who had expressed their concern.Delhi University results
Delhi University will declare the results of its annual examinations for the following subjects on July 11: B.A. Philosophy, Part I, II & III for the South Campus, and MSc (Zoology); MSc Anthroplogy (Part I & II); B.A. Philosophy, Part II for the North Campus. Students have been asked to contact their respective colleges after 12 p.m..
DUTA appeal to teachers
The Delhi University Teachers' Association (DUTA) has appealed to all teachers to participate in the protest dharna at the venue of the Academic Council meeting on July 11 at 1:30 p.m.. The dharna has been organised to protest against the 25 per cent wage cut by the university authorities.
Free stone detection camp
A free stone and prostate detection camp is being organised by R.G. Stone on Saturday in East of Kailash. Kidney stone, gall stone and prostate diseases will be checked at the camp, which will be open from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m..
Digital telephone exchanges
Union Communication Minister Sushma Swaraj on Thursday said that all the telephone exchanges of Delhi would be converted into digital exchanges by December 31. She made this announcement while inaugurating the 10,000-line capacity Tis Hazari OCB digital telephone exchange. She commissioned the new exchange by making a call to MCD Chairman Shanti Desai on his new digital number. The minister said the commissioning of this digital exchange would benefit the business community of the Chandni Chowk area.
