WASHINGTON, July 16: The White House angrily attacked special prosecutor Kenneth Starr, accusing him of ``outrageous and venomous'' conduct in allegedly leaking information said to impugn the integrity of President Bill Clinton and his secret service agents.``And if he had any ounce of decency today, he would tell (his staff) to knock it off,'' White House press secretary Mike Mccurry said.
Mccurry's eruption was prompted by a report on NBC Television's `Today' show which said, ``There are lots of suggestions coming out of people close to Ken Starr that perhaps the secret service facilitated for President Clinton. Remember that code word, it was used about the state troopers in Little Rock.''
Clinton's critics have long tried to prove that as Governor of Arkansas, he used state troopers to procure women for him, including Paula Jones.
However, NBC's Washington bureau chief denied that it came from anyone in Starr's office.
