Lt Gen Garewal passes away

CHANDIGARH, July 17: Lt Gen Gurbachan Singh Garewal `Butch', who retired as the Northern Army Commander, passed away in Delhi today evening.Gen Garewal, who was commissioned into the Armoured Corps retired in 1980 and was settled in Patiala. Besides, his son who is a serving officer in the Armoured Corps, he also had two daughters. His cremation will take place tomorrow at 3 p.m. at Patiala.
