CHANDIGARH, July 17: Admission to first year classes in the department of education and the school of Punjabi studies shall begin on July 23.According to chairperson of the School of Punjabi Studies, admission to M.A.(I) will take place between 10.00 am and 2.30 pm. Admission to the diploma courses in translation (English to Punjabi), Diploma in Punjabi language and culture, and Certificate Course in Functional English will be held on August 5.
Admission to M.Ed (morning) will commence on July 23 at 9.30 am, while that to M.Ed (evening) will take place at 2.15 pm. Admission to M.Ed (Guidance and counselling) will begin on the subsequent day at 9.30 am, followed by M.Ed (Educational Technology) at 11.30 am and M.A.(Education) at 2.30 pm.
Meanwhile, the Regional Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre (RSIC) has announced that admission to M.Tech (Instrumentation) course for the session 1998-99 will be held on July 27 at 9.00 am. The interviews for the GATE pass students and those qualified in the aptitude test will be held from 2.00 pm onwards on July 27, according to the Director of the Centre. The interview for admission to M.Sc (I) Statistics will be held on July 23 at 9.30 am in the department.
