Minister alleges threats to rejoin party

UNITED NEWS OF INDIA
SHILLONG, July 18: Former Meghalaya community Development minister Maysalin War today said she had received threatening anonymous telephone calls after her resignation from the B B Lyngdoh coalition ministry. "I had to request the DGP to provide security in the face of constant threats asking me to rejoin the Hill States' People's Democratic Party."

War, who resigned from the ministry on June 16 to join the United Meghalaya Parliamentary Forum, said she quit due to lack of cooperation and leadership.
