Maharashtra govt went by rules on deportation -- Advani
Union Home Minister Lal Krishna Advani has said that the Maharashtra Government had informed the Centre that it had followed the legal procedure in detecting, identifying, and deporting the illegal Bangladeshi migrants. The Home Minister said the government was willing to have a short discussion on the issue at any date earmarked by the Speaker.

Amarnath shrine now off limits for pilgrims
The Jammu and Kashmir government has stopped issuing registration slips to fresh yatris as the inflow of pilgrims to the Amarnath yatra has gone up beyond expectations. The daily quota of the yatris was fixed up to August 8.

Prime accused in Coimbatore blast case held
Lance Naik K A Raju of the Assam Rifles, one of the prime accused in the Coimbatore blasts case, was arrested in Calcutta on Tuesday. He was later produced in the court of chief metropolitan magistrate D Pal, where the prosecution alleged that Raju had taken a bribe of Rs 55,000 to supply RDX to the terrorist group responsible for the Coimbatore blasts last February.
