VADODARA, Aug 5: As many as 1,500 school students will participate in a road safety programme and an awareness rally, on Thursday, organised by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans Public school in association with different schools.The programme has been sponsored by the Union Ministry of Surface and Transport.
Talking to Express Newsline, Principal of Bhavans School, U C Pande said, ``The school has been selected as the nodal school by the Central Board of Secondary Education to conduct awareness programmes.''
He added that school students will assemble at Polo ground and the rally will be flagged off by the police commissioner. Passing through Kothi, Raopura, Jubilee Baug, Nyaymandir, it will end at Polo ground.
After the rally, a prize distribution programme will be held at the school, where three prizes will be awarded for the three best posters. Besides, 250 consolation prizes will also be given.
