MUMBAI, Aug 6: Mumbai batsman Wasim Jaffer came up with another brilliant hundred to inspire Spen Victoria to Heavy Woollen Cup glory at Yorkshire, England last weekend.According to information reaching here, the 20-year-old opener slammed a magnificent 131 (133b, 13x4, 1x6) as Spen Victoria trounced Hanging Heaton by 144 runs in the final.
Jaffer, who was adjudged man of the match, had earlier crafted 102 in his team's ten-wicket semi-final success over Scholes.
He was also involved in a 119-run opening stand with Andy Bethel (27).
Interestingly, Spen Victoria's total of 243-5 was the highest in a Heavy Woollen final since 1990.
