Gold firm
MUMBAI: Gold prices surged on the bullion market Tuesday in the wake of hectic festival support and strong trend in overseas markets. Silver moved up slightly on scattered demand. Standard gold firmed up by Rs 35 to close at Rs 4245 as against the last close of Rs 4210. 22-carat gold was nominally quoted higher at Rs 3925 from Rs 3895, while ten-tola gold bar (.999) shot up by Rs 350 to end at Rs 49,750 as against the last close of Rs 49,400.Timex Watches
MUMBAI: "Basically Yours", a novel gift scheme of delivering watches to the customers' doorsteps has been introduced for the first-ever time in India by Timex Watches, the Indian arm of the US multinational Timex, in the metropolis.
According to Ashok Nair, product manager, TWL, anyone who wants to gift a watch or buy a watch for their near and dear ones, can call up the Timex office in the city. The Timex sales person will soon meet the customer with the sample range of watches for selection and collect the receipient'saddress and effect delivery at a specified time. The customer can also send a Hallmark Greeting card along with watch selcted.
