CALCUTTA, Aug 21: The women's Federation Cup Football Tournament will be held at Raigunj in North Dinajpur district of West Bengal from September 2 to 18.The tournament, to be played on league-cum-knock-out basis, has 12 teams in fray. Organised by the All India Football Federation, the tournament will see women club teams vying for supremacy. The host state and Manipur have two teams each in the competition.
The participating teams have been divided into four groups. The league matches of Group I and III will be played from September 2 to 7. The first semi-final between the winners of these two groups will be held on September 9. The other two groups start their league engagements from September 8. The second semi-final will be played on September 16.
Group I: Friends FC (Tamil Nadu), Patna Blues (Bihar), Income Tax SAC (Bengal).
Group II: Mahatma Gandhi Play Centre (Tripura), Garincha's FC (Kerala), Manipur Police (Manipur).
Group III: Club Team of Assam, NPC (Bengal), Vasco (Goa).
Group IV: Bengal Mumbai FC (Maharashtra), Azad Hind (Orissa), North Imphal (Manipur).
