District board allocates Rs 48 cr for Mumbai

MUMBAI, Aug 21: The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) on Thursday approved a Rs 48.69 crore development plan for Mumbai, for 1999-2000. The Board meeting was held at Mantralaya chaired by guardian minister for Mumbai, Sudhir Joshi.The meeting also discussed the provision of finance for 72 developmental projects for the metropolis. The development plan has allocated Rs 6.16 crore for the development of government hospitals, which will be primarily used for the improvement of infrastructure at J J, St George, G T, and, Cama and Albless hospitals.
