Pedder, Shroff emerge champs

MUMBAI, Aug 22: Shane Pedder of HR Commerce emerged the individual champion at the Inter-collegiate swimming championship on Saturday at PM Hindu Bath today.

Radhika Shroff (St Xavier's) won the women's individual championship.

Podar join MCC in lead

RA PODAR joined MCC on top of the Inter-collegiate team chess championship at the end of the sixth round at Hazarimal Somani College, Chowpatty today.Both teams have 18.5 points each. Podar crushed Vivekanand Technology 4-0 to keep their title hopes alive with one round to spare.

In the women's event, Grishma Shah of governament Law College maintained sole lead with 5.5 points after six rounds. She defeated Devashri Mhatre of Vasai Vartak.
