No water for Andheri coloniesFor the last one week residents of Scindia and LIC Colony situated at Andheri (east) have been running around for water tankers as the water supply by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation remained irregular with some of the families not receiving water at all.
Residents of the colony complained that the officials of the K-east ward have not paid any heed to the complaints and not even bothered to inform them the reason for the irregular supply.
Representatives of over 4 lakh residents met the ward officials but failed get any reply on the cause of the problem. After about two days, they had to get water by tankers. The residents said that they have been receiving water for a few hours only and that too the timings of the supply is not fixed. ``All that we do these days, is to wait endlessly for a few buckets of water,'' a resident complained.
