Arabs paid Pak to make Islamic bomb: Report
Three Arab "parties'' paid Pakistan at least 1,000 million dollars for its nuclear project after former Pakistan premier Zulfikar Ali Bhutto convinced them during 1972-74 that the project would produce an Islamic bomb, Egypt's scholar-editor Mohammad Hassenein Heikal has revealed in a recent article of Al Arabi.

In an unexpected move, Russian President Boris Yeltsin issued a decree, firing Prime Minister Sergei Kiriyenko along with the entire Cabinet.

CIA, FBI differ on Laden's role
America's top intelligence agencies Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have taken contradictory positions on the issue pointing responsibility in the recent bombings in US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. While the CIA maintains that the bombings were carried out by Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden's men, the FBI has "no final conclusions'' about who bombed the two embassies.
