CHENNAI, Aug 24: The top two Indian juniors Vijay Kannan and Manoj Mahadevan have been accepted as direct entrants for the US Open to be held at New York from Sept 6-13.Kannan and Mahadevan would form the doubles pair in the US Open, according to a Tamil Nadu Tennis Associaiton press release.
Others who have got direct entry in the US Open are Uzma Khan, National girls junior champion and Sanzaruz Zaman of Calcutta (in boys), runner up to Vijay Kannan in the junior nationals.
After the US Open, Mahadevan and Uzma Khan would compete in the Nokia Sugar Bowl ITF Junior Tennis Championship at New Orleans, USA.
