Spiralling prices herald Ganesh Chaturthi in Karna
BANGALORE, August 24: On the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi, prices of everything from vegetables to idols of the elephant-headed God of auspicious beginnings are soaring in Karnataka. Flowers and fruits cost double of what they were quoted at just recently, and, with the price of essential commodities already ruling high, the festival budgets of the public have to be substantially hiked.
