Stiff competition for Tirupur hosiery units
COIMBATORE, Aug. 24: The hosiery industry at Tirupur near Coimbator is preparing to face tough times, with exporters reporting declining earnings due to competition in the global market. The competition is mainly from new bases in Central Asia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Pakistan.
