No breakthrough in Indo-US talks
The expected breakthrough in talks between India and the United States over nuclear and related matters did not materialise in the much ballyhooed fourth round which ended on Monday, but the two sides are said to have made sufficient progress to remain engaged in the process.

India, Russia and China have been dubbed as ``large transition'' nuclear states with economic potential, population size and technological capacity to challenge the US military might, a US report has said.

Pak experts defuse missiles
Pakistani troops cordoned off a large area in Balochistan province yesterday as experts worked to defuse an American Tomahawk missile that should have struck neighbouring Afghanistan but fell into Pakistan without exploding, due to some technical fault. The missile reportedly did little damage and caused no injuries.
