Police release 3 held for Planet Hollywood blast

AGENCE FRANCE PRESSE
CAPE TOWN, August 29: Three people detained by police in connection with this week's bombing of the Planet Hollywood restaurant were released today without being charged, police said.

Spokesman superintendent John Sterrenberg said police had found nothing to link the three to Tuesday's blast.

Two women and a man, all members of the Muslim-led anti-drug group People Against Gangsterism and Drugs (PAGAD), were detained late yesterday as they were about to leave the country. Police initially said the women would be charged over passport irregularities and that the man would continue to be questioned over the bombing.
