D Dasgupta has been made chairman of the National Highway Authority of India and MP Pinto, chairman of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust in the rank and pay of Secretary, an official release said.

N Gopalaswami will take over as the Secretary General of the United Human Rights Commission in the rank and pay of Secretary.

AK Gupta has been appointed Development Commissioner, Handlooms, in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. DK Mittal will be the new Director General, Sports Authority of India in place of AK Gupta, the release said.

GC Srivastava has been appointed Additional Secretary, Department of Revenue and DK Biswas as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in place of BL Sharma who will now be the general commissioner for persons with disabilities.

DS Bagga will take over as adviser in the inter-state council secretariat and Dharmendra Kumar as Additional Secretary in the Department of Telecommunications.
