The tournament assumes importance as it would be the basis of selection of the Pune District squad for the forthcoming State championship to be held in Kolhapur from September 18 to 20. The district championships will be held on a league-cum-knock-out basis. Participating have been asked to report at the venue at 7.30 a.m on September 6.

PSAAA football: The Poona Schools Amateur Athletic Association's (PSAAA) junior football final slated for September 2, has been put-off by two days, according to the organisers J N Petit Technical High School.

The final clash between J.N Petit and Bishop's High School scheduled at the formers ground has now been shifted to the Bishop's school ground (Jeejeebouy ground) and is slated on September 4.
