Mandela talks of Kashmir, breaks tradition
NAM's new chairman Nelson Mandela said that NAM was willing to lend "all the strength we have" to the resolution of the Kashmir issue. Mandela's fleeting reference to Kashmir in his inaugural address is perceived in diplomatic circles as a snub to India, since the Kashmir issue had never earlier been raised at a NAM meet.
No change in duration of model code: EC
The Election Commission has rejected a BJP demand to curtail the time period during which the model code of conduct stays in force and stated that the code would come into effect from the date of announcement of the poll schedule as usual.
"Mystery" missile fired by Laden against Sharif's betrayal: ANP
The mystery of unexploded missiles, found in Baluchistan, has received a new twist with the claim of the Awami National Party (ANP)'s information secretary, that one of them was fired from Afghanistan by Osama bin Laden's men who felt betrayed.
