Case registered The Ichhapore police have registered a case of criminal breach of trust against four people, who after agreeing to transport 60 sacks of plastic granules weighing 15 tonnes from the Reliance Industries at Hazira, escaped with the consignment. A complaint lodged by Reliance officials in the Ichhapore police station named the driver of the truck (HR 50 GA 0704) Harkished, a resident of Rajasthan, truck-owner Satish Chandniraja, another driver Liluram and owner of Krishna Transport as accused. According to the officials, the four took away the consignment worth Rs 4.95 lakhs to be delivered at P P Chemicals company in Delhi on August 20, but failed to do so.Burns death One Vandana More, a 22-year-old newly married woman residing in Shivharinagar area of Limbyat, died on Thursday in the Rustompura Maulvi hospital, where she was admitted with burn injuries, the police said. According to the Limbayat police, Vandana was admitted with burn injuries in the hospital on August 8. The victim declared in her dying statement that she received the injuries while making tea. Chain snatched One Harshad Patel, a resident of the city, lodged a case in the Athwa Lines police station stating that after two unidentified persons engaged him in a conversation, they snatched his chain and escaped.
