NEW DELHI: Star Sports is to telecast `live' the Commonwealth Games cricket ties from Kuala Lumpur featuring India against Antigua and Australia, apart from the two semi-finals and final.Tomorrow's India-Antigua clash would be beamed from 0830 hours while the India-Australia tie (September 15), the two semi-finals (September 16 and 17) and the final (September 19) would be telecast from 0730 hours, a release stated here today.

Siva for Baroda

CHENNAI: Former Test spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan will be playing for Baroda in the coming Ranji season in his quest to get back his place in the Indian team.

Sivaramakrishnan, who last played in 1987 for the country, has been released by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.

Hindu Open golf

CHENNAI: The best of professional golfers in the country would vie for honours in the Hindu Open golf tournament commencing here on September 10 at the Cosmopolitan Club.

The prize money has been increased by Rs 50,000 thisyear. The total prize money would be Rs 7 lakh this year, said Brandon D'Souza, event coordinator of the Tiger Corporation, New Delhi.

Dharmani serious

PATIALA: Former India wicket-keeper-batsman Pankaj Dhirmani, who was injured in a scuffle last evening, continues to be in a `serious condition, though out of danger', according to the doctors attending on him in the Government Rajindra Hspital.

It may be recalled that the cricketer suffered a head injury after being hit by a brick by Ashutosh Gautam, son of a local BJP leader. He received 15 stiches on his head apart from eight over his right eye.
