EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, Sept 8: The Maharaja Sayajirao University Syndicate will have to find a successor for Commerce Faculty Dean B S Patel as he had tendered his resignation letter.

However, he will continue to hold the post for three months owing to notice period.

Though Patel has submitted his letter it would now have to be forwarded to the State Government for its approval.

Patel will, however, continue to serve as the syndicate member, head and the senior professor of the Faculty. Apart from deciding on the dean of the Faculty of Commerce, the Syndicate would also have to decide about the alternative for the next dean of the Faculty of Arts which will fall vacant from October.

Dean of Arts D H Mohite will, however, proceed on leave for six months from the beginning of next month. Hence the Syndicate would also have to decide about proposing the names for the next dean of the faculty during its next meeting.
