September 9: A key suspect wanted in the murder of music baron Gulshan Kumar was arrested by the sleuths of the crime branch at Bandra on Tuesday night, claimed the police.The police were tipped off that Shafique Sheikh alias Shafimamu, one of the accused in Gulshan murder case, has been visiting Bandra area. The crime branch sleuths kept a watch on Sheikh's residence at Mumbra-Kausa and his office at Bandra. He was spotted near M K Builders around 10.30 pm and arrested, said the police.
Sheikh has been named as a key conspirator for his role in the murder of Gulshan Kumar on August 12 last year. Besides arranging meetings with the other accused at Faiyaz Communication Centre at Bandra, he also managed to send them to Dubai to meet the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's key associate Abu Salem.
