Laloo reverses stand on Vananchal
In a complete turn-around the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Laloo Prasad Yadav ruled out creation of "Vananchal'' and said he was "prepared'' to lay down his life to keep Bihar "one, strong and united.'' "A partition in my lifetime is unthinkable,'' he said in a meeting of RJD legislature party.
CWC may effect structural changes in Pawar's absence
Big changes in the Congress organisational structure are expected to be cleared in the discussion of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Tuesday, which will be yet another of the party's top meetings without Sharad Pawar.
Keshubhai rejects Mehta's resignation
The six-month-old Keshubhai Patel-led Bharatiya Janata Party Government in Gujarat plunged into crisis yesterday with the resignation of industries minister Suresh Mehta. However, the Chief Minister has not accepted the resignation and instead asked Mehta to attend office in the same ministerial position.
