Akali Dal against use of Article 356, wants to be consulted in Rabri case
The Akali Dal, a constituent of the Vajpayee Government, on Monday said that it opposed the use of Article 356 in states and expressed hope that the Centre would consult it before dismissing the Rabri Devi Ministry in Bihar. Akali Dal President and Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal expressed the hope that the BJP Government would consult its coalition partners on the dismissal of the Bihar government.

Laloo reverses stand on Vananchal
In a complete turn-around the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Laloo Prasad Yadav ruled out creation of "Vananchal'' and said he was "prepared'' to lay down his life to keep Bihar "one, strong and united.'' "A partition in my lifetime is unthinkable,'' he said in a meeting of RJD legislature party.

CWC may effect structural changes in Pawar's absence
Big changes in the Congress organisational structure are expected to be cleared in the discussion of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Tuesday, which will be yet another of the party's top meetings without Sharad Pawar.
