Training camp for youth
MUMBAI, September 17: Jungle Training Camp which organises military training for young boys and girls has organised a training camp from October 11 to 18 at Mahabaleshwar and at Goa from October 23 to November 1. Call on 4150111

Four awards for visually impaired
The National Association for the Blind has announced four awards to meritorous visually impaired students at SSC and HSC exams (Mumbai). The award distribution will be held on September 19 at 11.00 am, at Smt Kamala Mehta Dadar School for the Blind, 160, Dadasaheb Phalke Road, opp Hindmata Talkies, Dadar.

First prize in essay contest
Amreen N Hanware, a student of St Joseph Convent, Vile Parle, has bagged the first prize in group A of a state level essay competition. Conducted by the Red Cross, the competition was held on September 12 at Bai Panday Girls' High School, Tardeo.

Felicitation at Fine Arts

The Fine Arts Society of Chembur will be felicitating Guru Rajee Narayan forreceiving `Sanskruthik Rajya Puraskar' from the Maharashtra Government. The ceremony will be held at the Sivaswamy Auditorium of Chembur Fine Arts, R C Marg, near fly-over, on September 20, from 6.30 pm onwards.

R K Swamy gets award

R K Swamy, founder and chairperson of R K Swamy/BBDO Advertising Limited has been awarded the tenth AAAI-Premnarayen Award for 1997. The award, comprising a citation and trophy, was handed over to Swamy by Ram Sehgal, AAAI president at a recent function.
