NEW DELHI, September 17: It will be an all-Bengal affair in both the finals of the sub-junior boys and girls events on Friday in the Airtel Deen Dayal Upadhyay All India (Prize Money) Table Tennis Tournament at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium here. In sub-junior boys semifinals on Thursday, top seed Jayanta Chander beat David Zodin Puia of Petroleum Sports Control Board Academy 21-16, 21-14, 15-21, 21-13 and Saurabh Chakraboty defeated Arnav Ganguly (Bengal) 21-13, 21-18, 14-21, 21-15.The sub-junior girls final will be fought between top seed Sushmita Roy and second seed Nandita Saha. In the semifinals, Sushmita defeated team-mate Mousmi Pal 21-14, 21-13, 21-16 while Nandita had the better of Delhi's Pratima Sayal in four games, winning 21-11, 16-21, 21-8, 21-16.
Men's and women's first round round matches wee also gone through where most of the India-ranked players were seen in action. Men's topseeded Arup Basak received walkover in his first-round match, his opponent Vikas Mahajan (Pun) failing to turn up.
