Pro-Laloo caucus crowd to move President on D-Day
Political parties went into a flurry of activity in Bihar incited by the so-called D-Day, literally set up by the prime minister's statement on Rabri's potential ouster, when state Governor S S Bhandari is slated to meet President K R Narayanan on the issue. To counter what they termed an "unconstitutional endgame'', the Rashtriya Loktantrik Morcha, the CPM and the Rashtriya Janata Dal today crowded to schedule an audience with the President on Tuesday.

Cabinet to decide Rabri's fate today
The Government has called a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday reinforcing speculation that the Rabri Government's days are numbered. Once again the Centre sent signals that dismissal can happen any time now and Opposition parties joined ranks to stall such a move.

Joshi denies misusing office for his son-in-law's complex
Maharashtra Chief Minister Manohar Joshi on Monday denied having misused any statutory authority for securing permission for the multi-storeyed housing complex in Pune constructed by his builder-son-in-law Girish Vyas. In an affidavit filed in the Bombay High Court on Monday, the CM denied any personal involvement in the controversial constuction.
