VADODARA, Sept 22: A creative writing and essay competition will be organised by the department of English, M S University as part of the university's golden jubilee celebrations.Talking to Express Newsline, Head of the English department P C Kar said, ``Poems, one-act plays and short stories will be included under the creative writing category.'' He said those interested should send in their applications to Rani Dharker by September 30.
While the essay competition, on `India During the 50 Years of Independence' will be held at the department on September 30, applications should be addressed to Bharti Parikh. The first three winners will be given prizes.
Sitanshu Mehta of the department of Gujarati will deliver a talk on, `Art and creativity,' on October 3.
