NEW DELHI, September 22: The swimmers of CRPF who showed excellent performance in the National Acquatic championship at Bangalore were feilitated by the Director General of CRPF, M N Sabharwal. CRPF women swimmers, who participated in the championship on behalf of the All India Police Sports Control Board, won the waterpolo trophy.The CRPF swimmers who won gold medal at the Nationals were: Meghna Paranjpe, Preeti Unnikrishnan Anuja, Abhaya Bhartak, Jalaja Despandey, Naina Durne, Ibemcha, Kimu Kipgen, Vibha Gour, Pratima Behra, Sandhya Bhowmik, Kana Chowdhury and Nayan Nandi. The CRPF personnel won 14 gold, seven silver and four bronze medals in the championship (men) section.
The winners were: Kailash Nath, Deepak Kumar, Umesh Tokas, Raja Ram Tokas, Senthil Kumar T.K, Elvil Ali Hazarika and Suraj Prakash. Kailash Nath was adjudged the best swimmer of the champiosnhip.
