Amol efforts go in vain; Aniket's bear fruits

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PUNE, Sept 22: Amol Ashteker's (54) for Garware College of Commerce (GCC) went in vain as his team ended up losers against Ness Wadia, while Aniket Sant (6/17) proved a match winner for BMCC as they recorded a huge 9-wicket win over D.Y Patil College, Pimpri in the MCA Inter-Collegiate cricket league for the D'Mello Trophy here today.

GCC taking strike first could manage only 138 with Amol doing the bulk of the scoring which was supported by Tushar Gangal (33) at the other end. The cause of GCC's downfall was owing to the accurate bowling of Ramsingh Rajput who claimed 5/22.

In another encounter, D.Y Patil College of Arts and Commerce were shot out for the lowest total of the day 41, against BMCC which was mainly due to the one-man destructive force in Aniket Sant.
