HYDERABAD, SEPT 29: Widespread heavy rains over coastal areas, Rayalseema and few places in south and north Telengana regions in Andhra Pradesh have claimed 15 lives in the last two days.Four persons each lost their lives in Guntur and Vijayanagaram districts, and seven deaths were reported from east Godavari, Cuddapa, Visakhapatnam, Kurnool, Nizamabad, Chitoor and Anathapur districts, according to an official release here this evening.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the prevailing situation following heavy rains in various districts and instructed the revenue officials to take precautionary measures in the low lying and vulnerable areas to prevent any damage, the release said.
